Medicines: Antibiotic "Flemoxin"
Accidentally discovered by an English microbiologistAlexander Fleming in 1929, the first antibiotic, penicillin, marked a new stage in the development of medicine. The ability of antibiotics to effectively combat a variety of infectious diseases, previously considered fatal, was perceived as a panacea.
Preparations of the penicillin group in our timeoccupy the most important place among antimicrobial agents. Scientists continue to work on improving old and developing new types of drugs, as "cunning" microbes develop resistance to many of them, designed to fight them. One such medication is the antibiotic "Flemoxin", which has a wide spectrumactions. Its active ingredient is amoxicillin. The antibiotic practically does not cause side effects in patients and is allowed for use by pregnant women, nursing mothers and even small children.
Antibiotic "Flemoxin" differs yet anotheradvantage over other antimicrobials - it has a unique bioavailability, which is 93%. This means that its active ingredient almost entirely goes to medical purposes, without losing itself in the process of assimilation by the body. It deserves mentioning the medicinal form of the antibiotic - "Solutab", meaning in a literal translation - a soluble tablet. This form provides a more predictable and stable therapeutic effect, while also minimizing the likelihood of developing unwanted side-effects such as diarrhea and dyspeptic disorders. Tablets "Flemoxin Solutab" can be swallowed whole, dissolved in water or chewed. Liquid drug form of the drug has a pleasant taste, which is important when appointing it to children. Tablets can be taken before meals, and after, since food does not affect the degree of effectiveness of digestion by its body.
Antibiotic "Flemoxin" is indicated for use inany infectious inflammatory processes caused by pathogens sensitive to it: respiratory diseases (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia), digestive system, genitourinary system, skin and soft tissue infection.
A fairly frequent infectious disease isangina - inflammation of the tonsils. The process involves, usually, the tonsils themselves, the mucous membranes of the pharynx and the soft tissues of the palate. Flemoxin in angina is used to treat adults and children. Before prescribing the drug, an analysis is made for sensitivity to the antibiotic.
Antibiotic "Flemoxin" is prescribed in dosages, depending on the age of the patient and the severity of the disease. For infectious-inflammatory forms of a disease of mild and moderate severity, according to the following scheme:
- children from 10 years and adults are appointed twice a day for 500-750 mg, or 3 times - 350-500 mg;
- children from 3 to 10 years - 2 times a day for 375 mg, or 3 times - 250 mg;
- children from one year to 3 years - 2 times a day for 250 mg, or 3 times - 125 mg.
In case of mild forms, the drug is taken for 5-7 days, and for streptococcal infections, the duration of treatment is at least 10 days.
In relapses, chronic diseases or in cases of severe disease, the dose of the drug is determined by the clinical picture of the disease.
Contraindication to the use of "Flemoxin"is an individual intolerance to amoxicillin, lymphocytic leukemia and infectious mononucleosis. With caution appoint with ulcerative colitis and kidney failure.
List of side effects of antibiotic "Flemoxin"is quite extensive, but the indications mentioned in it are extremely rare. These include: nausea, vomiting, taste change, stomatitis, cholestasis, colitis, movement disorders, insomnia, behavioral changes, confusion, dizziness, convulsions, headache, depression, allergic reactions in the form of rash, hives, etc.
