How to remove Windows (Windows) via BIOS?
Almost every schoolchild can install windows now. Actually, there is nothing to do - just insert a disk or USB flash drive with the installation file, start it, select the disk where to install the operating system, and wait for the installation to complete. But much more complicated with the removal of the OSes. Few people know how to remove Windows through BIOS - the most basic operating system on any computer. Many years ago at the dawn of the emergence of a variety of operating systems, the BIOS was able to remove the installed operating system. Now, unfortunately, it is impossible to do this by a direct method, so in order to learn how to remove Windows through the BIOS, you will have to tinker a lot.
In fact, to remove Windows in the direct concept of the word is impossible. Bios is a structure in which it is impossible to delete something, you can only make settings. Therefore, if you need to remove Windows, you can do this by formatting the disk.
First you need an emergency floppy disk.It must be inserted into the drive, then restart the computer. If the computer has default settings, then the diskette immediately starts loading. As a result, a menu appears in front of you that works under MS DOS. There you can select a function from a small list:
- check discs
- format the disk.
Next comes the name of the logical drive. There may be several such lines, depending on the number of logical drives on your computer.
Next, you need to select the formatting of the drive on which your Windows is installed. Before you remove windows through bios, remember that when you remove windows from the disk, everything that you had on the disk - music, games, other files - will disappear from there. Therefore, first make a copy of everything that is on this disk.
After the formatting has begun, you just have to wait a bit, and after a few minutes your computer is cleared of the Windows OS.
