Many believe that a bicycle, unlike a car, does not need additional care, but this is fundamentally wrong, our two-wheeled "comrades" also need regular maintenance.
In this article we will tell you how to care for a bicycle chain - how to lubricate a bicycle chain, how it can be done and what the frequency of this procedure should be.
It is best to lubricate the chain suitable lubricant based on Teflon or lubricating oil on wax. Both tools have an extremely low coefficient of friction, however, both have advantages and disadvantages. So, for example, to Teflon will be more intensively stick dust and dirt, but he, unlike wax grease, will not be clogged in the chain gap, worsening the transmission.

You will need: grease and two rags.
- Switch the chain to medium stars and carefully clean the chain of dirt using a rag.
- Take a lubricant and apply it in drops, and then carefully distribute.
- Now start pedaling the bike. This procedure must be carried out for a few minutes so that the lubricant penetrates properly into the chain rollers.
- Take a clean rag and wipe off any grease that has not penetrated inside the rollers - wipe the chain, frame, stars and wheels thoroughly - the grease should remain only inside the rollers!
There is no universal answer to this question, because everyone exploits the bike in different ways, however, if the chain began to crackle a little, definitely it is time to lubricate it. In order not to bring this situation, it is advised to handle the chain every 200-300 km, although sometimes the lubricant can hold for longer and sometimes less. It is possible to renew the lubricant even if you have thoroughly washed the bike.
