How to keep parsley in winter?
The root of parsley is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is added to improve the taste of the first and second dishes, and also used to prepare medicinal broths. Therefore, many seek to preserve the root of parsley for the winter. There are several ways to do this.
Dried parsley root
Separate the excavated parsley from the stalk, afterthis wash the roots under running water, if necessary, scrape off the dirt with a knife. Then put them on a baking tray and send it to a vegetable dryer. Finish the roots in bundles and leave them in a suspended state in a room with low humidity.
Frozen parsley root
You can save parsley in winter byfreezing. First you need to wash the roots separated from the stems, and then carefully dry them on a paper towel. Then cut them in half and pass through an electric meat grinder with a shredder. Spread the resulting pieces of roots in containers or plastic bags, and then take them to the freezer and take them out as needed.
